Students are spending more and more time online and with electronic media. The new Common Core State Standards will only increase this! How can you help students to make good choices? The answer is Common Sense Media (CSM), a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization, providing FREE trustworthy information and tools so that students can learn safe, responsible online behavior and families can have a choice and a voice about the media they consume. Start with CSM’s comprehensive K-12 Digital Literacy and Citizenship Curriculum to empower students to be safe, responsible, and savvy as they navigate their fast-paced digital world. Continue with movie, video and game reviews to help parents, kids, and families make informed viewing choices. Go to the Advice videos for tips, advice, and solutions for problems kids face online and with digital media. Apps for special needs students? They've got those too. Starting a 1-to-1 program? Check out CSM's 1-to-1 Essentials. Need credible research on children's use of media and technology and the impact it has on their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development? CSM is the nation's leading independent nonprofit advocating for kids.. and your one-stop destination for informed media and technology use.
